Dr. Frey earned her degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University before pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and completed an internship at the New England Animal Medical Center in Massachusetts.

After seeing how stressful clinic visits could be for pets, she founded Vet At Your Door in 2015 to bring compassionate, low-stress, in-home care to Maine families. Her vision is to grow this model so that more veterinary professionals can experience the joy of practicing this way — and more clients and pets can benefit from it. It is her goal to transition Vet At Your Door to a 100% employee-owned practice by the end of 2028, ensuring its mission and values endure for generations to come.

Dr. Frey lives in Carrabassett Valley with her husband, three children, cats Atlas and Templeton, and standard poodle Greta. When not working, she enjoys mountain biking, running, and keeping up with her kids and dog.

Tina is a 1992 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Veterinary Technology and has been working in the veterinary field for over 30 years.  She has worked in general practice and orthopedics and is happy to be able to help provide veterinary care in an at-home setting.  Tina’s special interests include feline medicine and behavior.

Tina was born and raised in Maine and currently lives in Freeport with her husband, Billy, and their cat, Iris.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, mountain biking, gardening, baking, and visiting with her now-grown children.

Taylor graduated with a degree in Equine Science Technology in 2015 and began her career in the equine industry before following her goal of transitioning into veterinary medicine. She started as a veterinary assistant and quickly advanced into nursing management roles, where she discovered a passion for supporting veterinary teams and creating positive environments.

After several years in traditional brick-and-mortar practices, Taylor was drawn to the Fear Free model and made the move to mobile veterinary medicine in 2021. She’s loved the individualized care and meaningful client connections that mobile practice makes possible.

Since then, Taylor has worked in operations and recruiting within mobile veterinary medicine, earning her Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) credential in 2024. As a recruiter, she enjoys connecting veterinary professionals with the compassionate, flexible, and rewarding model that mobile care provides.

At home, Taylor lives with her husband Dom, cat (Monkey), German Shepherd (Nadette), Quarter Horse (Bobbie), and miniature cows. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her animals.

Ted Darling has built, led, and advised founder-led companies and professional services firms for nearly 40 years. Ted brings deep experience from both the finance and sales sides of business leadership—uniquely positioning him to help companies grow, optimize operations, and navigate ownership transitions, including the complexities of ESOP formation and compliance.

Throughout his career, Ted has helped organizations achieve strategic growth—from revenue gains to streamlined operations that boost profitability and enterprise value. His hands-on leadership and systems thinking allow clients to not only understand their numbers, but act on them strategically.

Ted’s particular passion lies in helping founders and leadership teams successfully evaluate, launch, and manage Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs)—a powerful tool for building enterprise value, rewarding teams, and ensuring sustainable transitions.

Dr. Heather Crispell earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saint Michael’s College in 2006 and spent several years in biomedical research in Maine and Alaska before following her passion for veterinary medicine. She graduated from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2013 and went on to practice in Maine and Massachusetts, where she discovered her love of house calls.

Dr. Crispell is thrilled to bring high-quality, low-stress care to pets and their people through Vet At Your Door. She has a special interest in geriatric medicine and hospice care, and is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized treatment for every stage of life—from playful puppies and kittens to comfortable seniors.

She lives in Durham with her husband, Eli, their spirited cat Baxter, and their Newfoundland, Harbor. Outside of work, she enjoys skiing, skijoring, kayaking, paddleboarding, gardening, and exploring Maine’s outdoors year-round.

Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Assumption University and interned for the federal government in Washington, DC. She then worked in a city government role wearing multiple hats, one of which was helping local companies and local job seekers connect. This is where she found her passion which has led to a 20+ year career in Recruiting. Working primarily in the human and animal health space, her roles have ranged from Manager of Recruiting for North America at IDEXX to Director of Global Talent Acquisition at the Jackson Laboratory to Director of Talent at Rarebreed Veterinary Partners to VP of HR and Talent at BetterVet / The Vets.  While her childhood dream was to become a veterinarian, using her talents to help build exceptional veterinary teams and advance veterinary care has been immensely rewarding.  

Lisa lives with her husband, Jamie, son, Tanner, and dog, Thor, a Cockapoo who rules the roost!  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, running, rucking, biking, golfing, pickleball, traveling internationally, and enjoying the plethora of fabulous restaurants right here in Maine.
